Symptom
You may encounter the following error when attempting to perform actions like managing or registering domains via Enom or hosting accounts on remote systems:
Registrar Error CURL Error: 56 - OpenSSL SSL_read: SuccessCause
A system update to cURL 7.67 in EasyApache 4 version 2019-11-20 contains changes that can cause this error.
Workaround
Reverting to the previous version of cURL (version 7.66) will resolve the error immediately.
To do this, run the following command and then restart Apache:
yum downgrade ea-libcurl ea-libcurl-develYou may need to contact your hosting provider or system administrator to make this change.
Solution
cURL 7.68 fixes this error. You may need to contact your hosting provider or system administrator to update your server to use software that includes this version.
WHMCS technical support cannot assist in resolving this error because it is an upstream bug.
